Website redesign services for the site you already run

Website redesign services are worth hiring only after you know what is broken. Open your site on your phone. Write down what fails. Then ask any vendor, including us, how they will fix that list without taking the current site offline.
What website redesign services should do for you
A useful redesign starts from the pages you already have. It keeps the address on the truck. It leaves the old site up until the new one is ready. It lets you change the phone number later without a new invoice.
A sales deck is not that. A kickoff meeting is not that. A new domain is the opposite of that. If the proposal leads with a new name, you are paying to throw away the address customers already use.
Ask these questions before you sign
- Will the current site stay online until I approve the new one?
- Does the domain stay in my registrar account?
- Who has the login after launch, and can I change the hours myself?
- What happens to the old page addresses? Do they stay, or do they permanently move?
- What do I pay in the year after launch, not only on day one?
- Can I open the preview on my phone and tap the number before anyone else sees it?
Write the answers down. A vendor who cannot answer the login question will disappear when you need a one-line change. A vendor who wants the domain in their account can hold the name if you leave.
Bring your own failure list
Do not ask for a modern look. Ask for the fixes you already found. The number does not dial. The hours are wrong. The photos are stock. The page slides sideways on a phone. A redesign that ignores that list will look new and still lose the call.
Check the result yourself. Open the preview on your phone. Tap the number. Scroll. If the dialer does not open, it is not done. Do not accept a laptop screenshot as proof.
Heritage Roofing, Xtreme Electric, R & R BBQ, A-1 Smith's Septic, Fences By Farr, and Pediatric Dentistry of Temple each kept their own domain. On one lab check the live Heritage site scored 98 Performance and 100 SEO. The old page scored 82 SEO and failed the phone font size. That is one example of a page a phone can use. It is not a promise of more jobs in your town.
If you want this done from the site you already have, Vortex Personal is $59 a month for one live site. Pro is $449 a month for up to 10. Business is $2,499 a month for up to 150. Hosting is included. A year is ten times the month price. The old site stays up until you switch.
When you want the work done from the URL you have, start a rebuild.
If the trade is contracting, use general contractor website design to check the first screen.
