How long does a website redesign take, in real steps

How long does a website redesign take is the time you spend checking the new pages, not a day count we print. There is no promised date. The old site stays online until you choose to switch, so you are not down while you decide.
How long does a website redesign take on these steps
- Confirm you can log in where the domain renews. If you cannot, that delay comes first.
- Paste the URL you already run and open the preview.
- Fix the phone, the towns, and the photos. A wrong number is a reason to wait. A font preference is not.
- Open the preview on your phone. Tap the number. The dialer must open.
- Click the old addresses you care about. Each one should still have a home.
- Leave the old host up the whole time.
- Point DNS when you would let a customer see it. DNS sends the name to the new host.
- Call the live number from a different phone. Then you may cancel the old host.
The slow part is usually the review. The hours are wrong. The photos are from a job you no longer show. The town list includes a county you stopped driving. Fix those before you switch. That work takes as long as you take to look.
What makes it take longer than it should
Waiting on a person who will not share the domain login. Arguing about a new name. Taking the live site down while you think. Accepting a screenshot instead of tapping the number yourself. Each of those adds days and none of them improves the page.
Switching before the review is the fast mistake. The public site then has the wrong number, and you start over in front of customers. Cancelling the old host before DNS is right is the other one. The name shows nothing while you decide.
What does not belong on the calendar
- A new domain. Keeping the name removes a naming project.
- A second host contract. Hosting is in the price if you use Vortex.
- A separate bill for every sentence you change after launch.
- A workshop to invent pages you do not need yet.
Heritage Roofing, Xtreme Electric, R & R BBQ, A-1 Smith's Septic, Fences By Farr, and Pediatric Dentistry of Temple each kept their domain. We do not publish their clocks as your deadline. Your clock is the preview review.
If you want this done from the site you already have, Vortex Personal is $59 a month for one live site. Pro is $449 a month for up to 10. Business is $2,499 a month for up to 150. Hosting is included. A year is ten times the month price. The old site stays up until you switch.
When the preview is ready, start a rebuild.
Keep the address while you review it. The login steps are on keep your domain.
